B.E Civil

B.E Civil

Course Description

Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, expansion, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment including works like roads, bridges, seaports, airports, canals, railways, pipelines, and other facilities that are used in our daily lives.

It is impossible to build a bridge, road, tunnel, or any kind of infrastructure without a team of qualified Civil Engineers. Bachelors in Civil engineering prepares an individual to be able to plan, design and construct any infrastructure required.

  • Always in high demand.
  • Use of innovative technologies.
  • Develop many practical skills.
  • Bring your own ideas of life.
  • Wide choice of specializations.
  • Well paid jobs and established career.

Introduction

Civil Engineers play a key role in our cities and our society, planning, building, and maintaining infrastructure while addressing environmental concerns and the challenges of providing a sustainable future.Civil Engineering is a professional engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction, expansion, and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment including works like roads, bridges, seaports, airports, canals, railways, pipelines, and other facilities that are used in our daily lives. It is arguably the oldest engineering discipline. Civil engineering is progressing at a fast pace as our other innovation. This discipline takes place in the public sector, from local to national governments.

From the pyramids of Egypt to the international space station, civil engineers have always faced the challenges of the future – advancing civilization and building our quality of life. Today, the world is undergoing vast changes — the technological revolution, population growth, environmental concerns, and more. All create unique challenges for civil engineers of every specialty. The next decades will be the most creative, demanding, and rewarding of times for civil engineers, and now is the best time to find the right career for you. Civil engineers are at the forefront of technology. They are the leading users of sophisticated high-tech products – applying the very latest concepts in computer-aided design (CAD) during design, construction, project scheduling, and cost control. Civil engineering is about community service, development, and improvement — the planning, design, construction, and operation of facilities essential to modern life, ranging from transit systems to offshore structures to space satellites. Civil engineers are problem solvers, meeting the challenges of pollution, traffic congestion, drinking water, and energy needs, urban redevelopment, and community planning.Structural designing came about when people started to move away from a migrant way of life and manufacture lasting structures. Structural designing progressed rapidly through the ages, and a large portion of these manifestations stand today. To give some examples, the Great Wall of China by General Meng T’ien, the Parthenon by Iktinos in Ancient Greece, the Appian Way, and a huge number of different accomplishments of designing, to be specific reservoir conduits, insulae, harbors, scaffolds, dams, and expressways by Roman architects, Machu Picchu, Peru, of the Incans, and huge loads of others. Civil engineering is arguably the oldest engineering discipline. These few examples illustrate that civil engineers do a lot more than design buildings and bridges. Civil engineers can be found in the aerospace industry, designing jetliners and space stations; in the automotive industry, perfecting the load-carrying capacity of a chassis and improving the crashworthiness of bumpers and doors; and they can be found in the shipbuilding industry, the power industry, and many other industries wherever constructed facilities are involved. And they plan and oversee the construction of these facilities as construction managers.

Civil Engineers’ cover a tremendous scope of occupations and a wide range of designs. Structural specialists originate from every single diverse foundation however they all go through years preparing, learning, and getting qualifications.

Our mission is to help students in civil engineering make a difference through teaching, training, and professional work. With the inputs just mentioned, our students will become life-long independent learners in terms of developing and test new/creative ideas and thus foster a deeper understanding of the values of civil engineering.
